Charters Towers State High School is a year 7-12 school supporting the education needs of students within a rural and mining community. The school was established in 1912 and continues to deliver cutting edge curriculum. In 2014, the Dalrymple Trade Training Centre opened, which supports and enriches the school’s academic offerings in line with community employability needs.
There is a junior secondary precinct catering for years 7-9 students established within the school supported by a timetable that minimises teacher’s changes in these formative years. Charters Towers State High School is supported by an active P&C who operate the tuckshop which opens daily during both lunch breaks.
